Transcript of Child Abuse

Child Abuse The abuse is real; The numbers are not. The numbers have been exagerated. The numbers have doubled over half in a few years. but the investigaing has gone down 36% The number of "serious" cases has been increased and moderate cases gone down. The otherwise moderate cases have been booted up to a serious case. The child abuse reported is often in a situation of the danger of being abused ...there does not have to be actual abuse in order for it to be reported Emotional abuse accounts for half of the serious cases The notion that child abuse is prevalent takes attention away from helping children who actually have been abused. Accuracy needs to be made to stop actual cases of abuse.
