Production Process for McDonalds
Materials & Supplies
Having the right materials and supplies for McDonalds restaurants is necessary. If you do not have the right materials and supplies to produce and sell food then your business will not succeed. You need to have the paper or boxes to wrap the burgers, cups for soda and hot beverages, fry boxes, cutlery, straws, napkins and bags to carry take out in.
Ingredients
McDonalds ingredients is basically the essential part of production. Without the appropriate ingredients for the specific restaurant there would be no production and there would be no food, and without food you have no business. You need, meat, buns, vegetables and burger toppings, cheese, condiments, milk and creme for coffee, salt for fries, dressing for salads etc.
Management
Managers at McDonalds restaurants is very crucial. You need to have someone that's "in charge" and that holds everyone together. They work on financial success for a certain outlet and maintain the good reputation of the company. They ensure that the restaurant serves high quality food and drinks and good customer service. Their activities also include common things such as, overseeing marketing, sales, operations, finance and human resources.
Capital Investment
Capital investment is funds invested into a enterprise for expanding its business objectives. When investing people have the expectations of income and earnings throughout the years.
Land
Having a piece of land in a busy, high populated area is key. If you have it in the middle of no where you will have no business what so ever. You need to have a busy location where people on the "go" just swing by to pick something up quickly and where they don't have to drive far.
Building
In order to have successful business you need the right building for your restaurant. You want a up to date space that can meet all restaurant standards. Such as, Kitchen, eating space or dining area, counter and bathrooms.
Machinery & Equipment
You need to have the correct machinery and equipment corresponding to the restaurant. Specifically at McDonalds you would need, Fry Machine, Soda machine, grill, mcflurry machine, coffee machine etc.
Training
McDonalds is always opening new stores and hiring new employees so they must be trained to do the job right. They usually start off by job shadowing. It gives the new employee a sense of feel in their position and they learn how to do everything in the process and it all becomes a routine.
Labour
Labour is essential to success in fast food restaurants. Even though the role of the manager is very important, without the employees there would be no production of making the food and preparing the meals to go.
Process
McDonalds uses a process called streamlining. Its becomes an assembly line. Every step and movement of labour is pre-arranged scientifically to avoid any screw ups. So, from the beginning to the end its well working streamlining process.
Service
Customer service is very important. Having customer satisfaction is key to success for a business. Service employees are responsible for taking the order and serving the meal. For example, the cashier.
