Mary Edwards Walker-she treated soldiers of the Union Army in an environment not suitable to women. She is a role model for women in service today.

MARY EDWARDS WALKER WAS A US ARMY SURGEON , PRISONER OF WAR AND SPY
PETER CHARLES LEMON WAS BORN JUNE 5TH 1950 AND HE NOW IS 64 YEARS OLD. HE SERVED FOR THE US ARMY AND FOUGHT IN THE VIETNAM WAR.
MARY EDWARDS WALKER ~SHE TOOK WHAT SHE LEARNED IN HER CIVILIAN LIFE AND APPLIED IT TO SERVICE FOR HER COUNTRY IN TIME OF GREAT NEED
PETER CHARLES LEMON RECEIVED THE COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE, A US MILITARY AWARD AND SERVED IN THE US ARMY.
Mary Edwards Walker- placed her personal safety in jeopardy during the civil war which resulted in her capture by enemy forces and imprisonment.
Peter Charles Lemon- During war he earned the purple heart also known as being injured in battle. He sacrificed his body for our country.
Mary Edwards Walker-she survived in a prisoner war camp and despite differences between to two sides she displayed valor by treating, suffering, Confederate soldiers.
Peter Charles Lemon- He fought for America for 11 years in the army and served in many battles risking his life in each one by protecting our country.
Peter Charles Lemon- When the base was under attack, Peter shot at enemy forces until his gun malfunctioned. It was very dangerous, when his gun malfunctioned he had nothing to protect himself.
