The Home Front During World War I, the gov't started to get more involved in both industrial and agricultural production.
The war brought on many new economic opportunities, causing many Americans to move to other parts of the country in search of well paying jobs.
Newton D. Baker picked random numbers to decide the order that the first draftees in World War I would be recruited. It was a lot like Bingo, actually.
