Disadvantaged Veterans
Veterans do not start out as homeless. They Start out as Defenders of our Country's beliefs, Our moral Values, Freedom, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
In war soldiers die and can leave
lasting scars
40% of Homeless men are Veterans
4% of homeless veterans are women
76% experience alcohol, drug, or mental health problems
Its not just men...
Since September 2001 female
veterans have suffered from greater
risk of unemployment. Their percentage of
unemployment is slightly higher than for their
male counterparts at around 12.4 percent.
What comes to mind when someone says homeless veteran?
They believe deep within their souls that someone must step forward and make the sacrifice
Veterans come from a Special Breed of Men and Women
They Grew up with Images of Freedom
some of these veterans come home suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This can and does lead to drugs, alcohol, depression and a feeling that they're alone.

Our Veterans need your help
in regaining the dignity befitting
a defender of our nation
I beseech you to jump in
and take action to help these heroes

Some Veterans may experience survivor guilt. They feel responsible for surviving when others did not, and wishing they had died instead.

big change from the Vietnam era, but
the sound of cheers and clapping hands
are hollow for those who fall victim to the horrors and tragedies of combat

they do?
Who are these disadvantaged

holding true to the oath even in the face of their own mortality believing their sacrifice made a difference.
Some fall victim to multiple issues stemming from military life

that causes them to loose there way.
