Abortion: the Silent Death Two Views of Abortion: Pro-choice: “that each and every human being, woman or man, deserves the opportunity

to develop into the best she or he is capable of; that each individual be respected,

however minimal or great their development may be” (Joyer 1) Pro-life: “that each and every human being, pre-born, or born,

deserves the opportunity to develop into the best she or he is

capable of; that each individual be respected, however minimal or

great their development may be” (Joyer 1). Life begins at Conception

Humanity belongs to God

Abortion is killing life The World's View on the Bible Many people today do not see the Bible as absolute truth. The world views abortion as subjective truth Subjective truth meaning that "truth is defined by the individaul; it is subjective and situtaional People that are pro-abortion say the following:

Life begins at viability not conception

It is the person's choice whether or not to get an abortion

Abortion is not killing innocent life However, when looking at the Bible, it is easy to see three things: Life begins at Conception All humanity belongs to God Abortion is killing innocent life Life begins at Conception Humanity Belongs to God According to the Bible, should people be able to choose whether or not to get an abortion? The world's view on choice

Many people that are pro-choice do not think about the Bible

They only consider their choice in the matter of an abortion

They think "their choice" rightfully belongs to them The teachings of the Bible The Bible that since God created human beings, then that means they ultimately belong to Him. Humans do not get the choice of whether or not take an innocent life because they weren’t the original creators of humanity. Two questions must be answered to prove that God created humans, and therefore they belong to Him. The First Question Who gives life to the Baby inside of the womb? The giver of life is not the woman carrying the baby. The giver of life is God. “The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth… gives to all mankind life and breath and everything” (ESV). Acts 17:24, 25 The Second Question who owns this world and everything in it? Psalm 24:1 "The earth is the Lord's and fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell in it" (ESV) God is the giver of life, and He is the one who holds the world and everything in it. humanity was created by God and belongs to Him. Therefore, all When it comes to choosing whether or not to have an abortion, it is not the humans choice Humans definitely do not own the world and everything in it. God is the owner of the world and everything in it. Exodus 21:22-23 "The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth... gives to all mankind life and breath and everything" (ESV). Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations" (ESV). Psalm 51:5 "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me" (ESV). Abortion is killing life Exodus 20:13 "you shall not murder" (ESV). is taking the life of a "fetus" inside a mother's womb murder? According to Webster's New American Dictionary, murder is defined as, "The crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice forethought." The world, which views life beginning at viability, does not see abortion as murder. However, since the Bible claims that life begins at conception, ruthlessly taking the life of a living child is murder. "When men strive together and hit a pregant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hits her shall surely be fined, as the woman's husband shall impsose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. but if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life" (ESV). The Explanation

The life of an unborn child is the same as the life of an adult

Thus, taking the life of an unborn child as a result of abortion, is murder and deserves death Three areas of the effects of abortion:

The Physical Effects

The Emotional Effects

The Spiritual Effects Physical Effects of Abortion Self-induced abortion is when a person uses a hanger or another dangerous object, and thrusting into the womb. It is extremely dangerous and harmful to the mother. It also may cause bacterial infection. It may even lead to death. Emotional Effects of Abortion Self-induced Abortion Post Dramatic Stress Disorder Depression Reoccurence of bad memories (Intrusion) Estrangement Suicidal thoughts Other Emotional Effects Mothers may become more likely to engage in lewd behavior Mothers may use drugs and alcohol Mothers develop eating disorders such as: anorexia and bulimia Divorce may also occur among married couples Spiritual Effects of Abortion There is a sense of loss with some women, which turns into guilt However, God can forgive anyone of their sins no matter what they have done. But, they must go to Him for help! God's plan

Changing God's plan

Putting our plan above God's plan
Micah's thoughts: The Bible proves that the Lord values life. He even considers an unborn baby to be a human! According to the world life begins at viability Viability means the stage of the fetal development when the baby is "potentially able to live outside of the mothers womb." The world also views the owner of the "fetus" to be the mother "If I see a case... after twenty weeks, where it frankly is a child to me, I really agonize over it because the potential is so imminently there... on the other hand, I have another position, which I think is superior in the hierarchy of questions, and that is 'who owns this child?' It's got to be the mother." Dr. James McMahon says, the world views an abortion as simply removing a blob of tissue from a mother, not killing a child! Challenging The Students Proverbs 31:8 "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute" (ESV). As Christians, we must speak up for the ones that cannot speak for themselves. As Christians, we must speak out against abortionists As Christians, we must speak against the wicked gruesome murderers that kill millions of innocent lives each year. The End
