About the Author
Prior to writing novels, Mark wrote television scripts, became a producer, and then a show runner. He also wrote the novel The Summer I got A Life. A quote he lives by is by E.L. Doctorow: “Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can see only as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.”
The main character is Ernie Dolan, a 14 year old boy who stutters. He goes to the camp with his friend.

I like this book because basketball is my favorite sport to play.
I also played in a basketball camp.
The mood of the story in intense, exciting, and inspirational.
The story takes place at a summer basketball camp around Lake Michigan. The time period is present day.
Ernie struggles with being an average guy. He stutters and has lack of confidence.
