Fever Crumb Theme
Transcript of Fever Crumb Theme
What Is Theme?
Relation To A Song
In the song "I'm On Top Of The World" by Imagine Dragons they talk about how you should stand up for what you believe in. They also say that you shouldn't back down from something you want to do.
In the book I'm reading "Fever Crumb" the main theme so far is that if you want or don't want to do something stand up for yourself. And don't back down from what you believe in.
For Example: "I was mad that I didn't stand up for myself, because I really didn't wan't to leave Dr.Crumb."
For Example: "I really wanted to stay with Dr.Crumb but I knew I would be judged as rational by The Order Of Enginners."
In the book "Dot" a kid said she was a horrible drawer, but her art teacher told her to draw a dot so she did. Then the art teacher took the dot put it in a frame and put it above her desk. And after that the girl kept drawing dots in many different ways. So from this the theme is to at least try something once.
You also must keep in mind that theme is universal and can be related to many different stories. And that they have to be a more than one word topic.
Relation To Poem
In the poem "Birches" the big theme is to not back down from what you believe in, and to stand up yourself no matter what the cost is. It also states that you have to work hard to reach your goals.
"Fever Crumb" Theme
Some lines from the song are
I've had the highest mountains
I've had the deepest rivers
You can have it all but life keeps moving
I've tried to cut these corners
Try to take the easy way out
I kept falling short of something
Some of the lines are,
"With all her matter or fact of the ice storm."
"Toward heaven till the tree could bear no more."
How to find theme?
The best way to find the theme in a story is to divide the stories into smaller part and find the biggest details, and then go from there. You can also look at the smallest details of the story and build on those, and you can look at how the people in the story act and what they do.
