Ben Carson is the president and co-founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, which recognizes young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian accomplishments.
What organizations and what does he contribute?
What is a philanthropist?
A philanthropist is a person who seeks to promote the welfare of others, especially by the generous donation of money to good causes.
Ben Carson fits in the role of a philanthropist,because he has donated and helped others achieve their maximum goals and aspirations toward life.

Academy of Achievement-Helps grant students with low funds get scholarships and knowledge.
The Carson Scholars Program recognizes and rewards academic excellence in young students (4-11 grade) who also have strong humanitarian qualities. Students are nominated by their schools and honored at one of nine regional awards ceremonies across the country.
The Ben Carson Reading Project was created to combat illiteracy and promote leisure reading as a key to unlocking a child's full learning potential.
