Learning how to stay safe on the internet, on your cell phone and in the cloud is critical to protecting your identity and privacy.
Keep Your Software up-to-date
Especially important with PCs
Keep Browsers updated
Chrome is automatic
Firefox & Safari will ask you
Internet Explorer - Windows operating system updates include IE

Don’t answer email from people or sites where you didn’t initiate the correspondence (Phishing)

Read Service Agreements & Privacy Policies to know your rights

Create Strong Passwords
Passwords should include:
Letters (upper and lower case)
Symbols EX: ! # $ % *
(Pick a phrase you’ll remember NOT Birthdays, Child or Pet Names
Just opening up an unknown
email is enough to infect
your computer with
a virus or malware.

Public Wifi
is not secure
Use encryption software or encrypted apps.
