Package Tease Purpose: Anchor is on camera the entire story
No video or graphics Voice-over
Anchor’s voice is heard while video/gfx is playing Voice-over, sound-on-tape
anchor’s voice is heard while video/gfx is playing, leading up to “soundbite” of interviewee on camera A self contained story by a reporter or anchor entirely on tape. A package with no voice track, only the natural sounds A VO or Reader "snipet" teasing the viewer on what is still to come. Includes:
the staff (behind the scenes)
the crew (equipment operators)
the talent (anyone seen by the camera) One person can fill multiple jobs on the same production. News Director Producer Executive Producer Director Anchor Reporter Videographer Teleprompter Operator Floor Manager Graphics (GFX) Audio Operator Camera Person Cues The person in charge of the entire newsroom and content that goes into the news show.
Responsible for the news gathered each day. Editor Responsible for puting the various pieces of the program together.
A machine that allows scenes to be arranged in sequential order. Directs the action in the studio. Switcher The device in the control room that allows the technical director to go from video source to video source. The person in charge of the control room during newscasts.
Also responsible for keeping the news show taping on schedule. A signal that implies something specific to happen.

Stretch The person responsible for prioritizing the stories (deciding which ones air and in what order) for that night's news as well as writing leads, teases, etc. The one who gatherse video for stories in the field. Person who runs the teleprompter. The person "in the field" reporting on the stories (VOs, VO/SOTs, PKGs) Pereson behind the desk delivering the news. The director's eyes and ears in the studio. Oversees the producer(s) of a specific project or newscast.
At times is the provider of funds for the project The one operating the camera in studio. Person creating the GFX used in the newscast. The one controlling audio levels in the entire newscast
