She proved that Dr. Montgomery's death was not an accident.

Conflict, Climax, and Turning Point
The main conflict is that the children's new guardian's assistant happens to be the person they are trying to escape from.
Dr. Montgomery is found dead in his office.
Turning Point:
Violet finally proves to Mr. Poe that the new assistant is actually Count Olaf.
The children are actually happy in their new home.
Rising Action:
The children realize that their guardian's new assistant is actually Count Olaf, their old guardian and tormentor.
Dr. Montgomery faces an "accidental" death.
Falling Action:
The children have to prove to Mr. Poe that Dr. Montgomery was in fact murdered and that his assistant is actually Count Olaf.
The children are once again homeless after they finally came to think that they could relax and be happy.
The setting takes place at Uncle Monty's home. The children spend most of their time in the snake room.
Resolution of Main Conflict
It is finally realized that Dr. Montgomery's death was not an accident and that his "assistant" is Count Olaf who was also his murderer.
