Medal of Honor
-The Medal of Honor award is the highest award you can receive

Hershal "Woody" Williams
During World War II, Herschel and his platoon needed to open a way for infantry. With only four rifle men covering for him, and while carrying a 40 pound flamethrower, Herschel Williams sneaked up to a concrete pillbox. He put his flame thrower into a hole on top of the pill box to flame the pillbox. When enemies ran out, Herschel burned them to death.
Robert Dale Maxwell
Robert is the oldest current living medal of honor recipient. He was a former soldier who received the medal in recognition of his actions in world war 2. He was a technician fifth grade with the 3rd battalion.he currently lives in Bend, Oregon
Courage means the ability to do something that frightens someone else.
Hiroshi H. Miyamura
Hiroshi was an army veteran, also know as hershey miyamura. he had received the medal of honor was held back while he was a prisoner of war in Korea. born in new mexico to japanese immigrant parents, miyamura initially joined the army in 1945.
Sammy Davis
Sammy Davis received the Medal of honor on November 19th, 1968 from President Johnson. On November 18th,1967 Sammy Davis was wounded and under intense enemy fire when crossed a river to rescue three injured soldiers.

Patriotism is the love of and devotion to ones country.
A great example of patriotism is sammy davis because ever sence he was a young boy he wanted to be a soldier.
Valor is the act of courage in the face of danger, especially in combat.
Honor means high respect and esteem.
