Drug legalization in Colombia DISAGREEMENT:

Today the war on drugs is a failure.
Whether Colombia legalizes drug’s trade
the issue about it could be changed for the
economic welfare, but it won’t erase
the mafia phenomenon. WHAT HAPPENS?

IIn certain number of regions of Colombia,
the cocaine’s trade has represented a
chance to survive and an opportunity to
ascend quickly to a higher style of life
and have influence in any of the political parties. AGREEMENT:

"It would create some effects such as:

kingpins out of business

decrease violence

increase the emphasis on treatment of addicts

and would raise taxation by almost $33 billion annually .

"This industry is profitable only because it’s illegal, actually cocaine is the largest mafia business" THESIS

It’s necessary to promote fair conditions for human security.

The governments must "focus more on a public-health approach" to drug abuse.

Public expenditure, instead it’s spending money waging the war against drugs, it should be spent on rehabilitation for drug addicts and helping coca farmers for a legal resource of money.
“Did you know Colombia leads the production of cocaine leaves in Latin America with 55%. The next countries are Peru with 29% and Bolivia with 16%.?” The biggest users of cocaine (as a percent of population age 16-64) are: Spain (3), U.S. (2.8) England (2.4), Canada (2.3), Italy (2.1), Bolivia (1.9).

There is an estimate 6.4 million cocaine users in North America compared to four million in Europe. VS Thanks for your
