Transcript of Make Recycling Mandatory to help the Environment

Fact one
Every year, americans throw away enough paper and plastic cups, fork, and spoons to circle the equator 300 times
Fact two
The decomposition rate of a glass bottle takes over 4000 years to fully break down in a landfill?
Recycling Builds a Community
My point of view
I think that ignoring recycling is a horrible thing to nature. Even if you are just tossing a soda can into a recycling bin,it still counts. Throwing items not suitable to recycle into a recycling bin also harms nature and makes the job of workers that run recycling companies harder.
Fact three
You would think that paper would be the most recycled item, but according to the 2007 recycling graph, it is actually auto batteries.

What is Recycling?
I believe that recycling should be mandatory for citizens in every city, due to the fact that it helps to reduce landfills, consume less energy, and it has less of an economic burden .
How can recycling help us?
Recycling will leads to less
landfills
Recycling will allow us to consume less amounts of
energy
Recycling will ultimately allow us to save
money
Recycling can reduce Landfills
Recycling will reduce landfills by simply allowing less waste to be dumped into landfills.
If recycling reduces landfills, then it will reduce air pollution, by allowing less chemicals to be released into the air, and this will save lives.
Recycling can allow us to use less
energy
Making products out of recycled materials will take only 5% of the energy used to make products out of newer materials.
If we recycle and save energy, then we wouldn't have to do a lot of cleaning up litter which if not processed/ picked up will eventually harm the earth
Recycling will save money
Recycling will save money by simply allowing products to be less expensive.
If we recycle, the countries products will be able to be reused and we don't need to buy any more new products from other countries, and this will possibly increase our debt greatly.
Thesis Statement
People work together
Communicate
Share ideas
Support each other
Recycling is the process of taking a product at the end of its useful life and using all or part of it to make another product.
Conclusion
If we want to save our planet earth, we need to realize the importance of recycling. If we keep dumping all the wastage product by humans into seas and rivers our earth will become toxic, which will make it impossible for us to live on. Let’s start doing our part by using recycled paper, paper bags, and paper carton juice boxes instead of plastic covers. The world is in our hands and its future depends on our decisions and actions so think and act wisely.
