The total population of a town is around 1000-10 000 people. If it's more than 10 000
people, it can become a city

In 2007 there were 111 towns in
Alberta.
Representatives
Mayor
(head of government)
elected by all citizens.
Councillors
(minimum of 6)
Elected by all citizens.
Examples of Towns
Peace River, Magrath,
Athabasca, Banff, Canmore,
Jasper, and many more!

When a Town is Formed
A town is formed when an Albertan community has at least 1000 people living there.
