Started out in the automotive industry with the intent to capitalize on the growing auto trade
Canadian Tire Corporation was created in 1927 as one of the first companies towards the movement of dealer-owner businesses

Canadian Tire Corporation follows an M form structure
Separate profit and loss divisions
Allows each entity to have its own manager, form, and structure
