Types of materials
Alan
Early Life
Alan was born in 1942 at Ballina New South Wales. He was the son of a farmer who was also a timber getter and sawmiller so Alan has had a close association with wood most of his life
Training
He had apprenticeships in a sawmilling joinery and also in cabinet making and built his technical skill.He also took a two-year Visual Arts course at the Northern Rivers C.A.E. which refined his artistic and designing abilities
Inspiration
His father was a farmer who was also a timber getter and sawmiller, making Alan have a close connection with wood most of his life
