SOCS
I chose these images because it shows that they don’t have good lives and aren’t in a very good area. The Greaser pictures tend to show more run-down, underprivileged places as opposed to the money-filled lives of the Socs. They get arrested more often than the Socs do and are in and out of jail most of the time because the law enforcement is biased toward arresting them. They have long, combed-back hair. That’s their “trademark” of sorts. Overall, it seems like they don’t have it better than the Socs do -- although little do they know that the Socs' lives are hard too.

These images for the Socs stuck out to me because they reflect their lives filled with wealth. The Socs, unlike the Greasers, don’t have to worry about money. They drive expensive cars and have money to spare. They often wear a certain style shirt, madras, which is why I chose that particular picture. They are also favored by everyone; the law enforcement, teachers, and society. They have power over the Greasers because of this. However, their lives are not as easy and joyful as they seem -- in fact, they’re almost as bad as the Greasers’ lives.
