I created a questionnaire
on Google Doc.
I made it "Public on the Web"
and shared it with my students before class.
Students accessed my Google Doc questionnaire in their Google Drive via the "Shared with me" tab or via their email on their own device.
Students could also "make a copy" of the Google Doc Questionnaire (under File) and type their answers in their Google Doc copy, then copy and paste the answers in the Padlet wall.

Upload the pictures located in your
Google Drive on a blank Padlet wall
from your computer and email the Padlet link to your students.

While you (the teacher) are uploading the pictures on a blank Padlet wall on your computer, students are actively engaged! They are busy interviewing their grandparents, guided by a Google Doc questionnaire I shared with them earlier!

What is Google Drive?
THE ACTIVITY
Students interview their grandparents and transfer the information in the target language on a virtual wall (padlet.com). They type the answers next to their Grandparent's picture. They are using their laptop or the school's. The wall is being projected for the entire class to see. It is being updated "live" before our eyes!

Student creates a Google Doc from Google Drive and writes in the target language, then shares with his teacher.
Student Google Doc is now forever located in Teacher's "Shared with me" folder in Google Drive and easy to go back to. Teacher opens Student Google Doc and inserts comments, corrections, suggestions.
Student corrects. No need to share again.
Teacher is able to view the Google Doc's revision history (who did what and when was it done.)

Teacher gives a final grade.
(in the Sharing Settings, Student selects the "Can Edit" when sharing with Teacher.)
All students in grades 8 through 12 are required to have a laptop for use at school every day.
6th and 7th grade students have
access to wireless laptops in the Library.
Three mobile wireless laptop carts and an iPad cart
are used in 6th and 7th grade to conduct in-class computer-based lessons and projects.
Every student on campus is provided with a "digital locker" which includes access to GoogleApps and Edline to facilitate the storage of electronic files and to allow for collaboration and communication.

When you are finished creating your Google Form, click on "View live form" and take the quiz as the TEACHER. Submit the correct answers, which will serve as the key later.

Click on "View responses" to access the responses gathered in a Google Spreadsheet.
The grading part is very easy, simply choose the options that apply to you!
Students love receiving their grades via email right after submitting their answers!
When building your quiz in Google Form, make sure your first 2 questions are:

1) the student's name
2) the student's email address

This will allow you to identify the student AND allow Flubaroo to instantly email his/her grade when done taking the quiz.

3 SIMPLE WAYS TO INSTALL THE APPLICATION:

1) Go www.videonot.es and connect to your Google Drive.

2) Get it through the Chrome Web Store.

3) In your Google Drive, click on CREATE on the left of your screen, click on “Connect more apps” (Connect apps to drive). Type videonot.es in the search window and add it to your drive by clicking on +Connect.
- Watch videos and take notes at the same time, on the same screen.

- Automatically synchronize your notes and video. Just click on a line of your notes to jump to the related part of the video.

-Everything is automatically stored in your Google Drive, to access them everywhere.

GOOGLE CALENDARS
I create one calendar for each level I teach and more!
Each calendar is color coded
At the beginning of each year, I share my Google calendars with my new students.
They sync the class Google calendar with their mobile phone, tablet or laptop.
Now they always know what the homework is!
Embed your Google calendars in your class website, blog or LMS by pasting the embed code into your web page.
I post homework assignments and upcoming quizzes and tests on my Google Calendars.
So easy to move your assignments around should you need to!
I invite "guests" (my students) to the events I create all the time. When they accept my invitation, that event now populates their calendar and they won't forget (hopefully!)
Add an attachment to your Google Calendar Event (great for homework assignments!)
You can copy an event from one Google calendar to another (National French Contest is tomorrow and all levels must attend!)
