Today I am going to share with you some facts about Delaware!!Hopefully you like my presentation!!
Flat lowland, Atlantic Coastal Plain.
The southern boundary is swampland with over 30,000 acres of swamp.
The general geography of the Middle Colonies had a mix of the New England and Southern features but had fertile soil and land that was suited to farming.
Not dominated by a specific religion which gave way to religious freedom for Quakers, Catholics, Lutherans, Jews and others.
Exported agricultural products and natural resources but were also able to manufacture iron ore products such as plows, tools, kettles, locks, nails and large blocks of iron which they exported to England
Thomas Jefferson gave this nickname to Delaware, according to legend, because he described Delaware as a "jewel" among states due to its strategic location on the Eastern Seaboard.
This nickname was given to Delaware after the fighting Blue Hen Cocks that were carried with the Delaware Revolutionary War Soldiers for entertainment during Cockfights.
This nickname was given to Delaware due to its size and the contributions it has made to our country as a whole and the beauty of Delaware.
When Delaware was Founded
1638 is the year it was founded. Delaware was Founded By Peter Minuit.
What Colony is it?
Delaware is part of the southern colony's. So it is in the middle bottom.
Why is my Colony Unique??
To start off, my colony is the exact middle if you cross them out 1,13, 2,12 3,11 all the way you will get to number 7 my colony!! Also if you add 7+7 it equals 14 just one away from 13!!!!
why people should come to my colony
As you can see in the background it is amazing land wide open fields big blue skies and most of all it has gum trees!!!!!!!!!
