Argentina Arts and Culture Accomodations Food Outdoor Recreation Historic Sites Argentina has a lot of exotic foods like alfajores, asado, and a drink called mate. One of the best hotels is the
Los Caunguenes hotel. It runs
221 U.S. dollars a night per
person. One of the arts in Argentina is the tango. Also folk music is big in Argentina. The official language of Argentina is Spanish. Mate Asado Alfajores Mate is made of tea-bags, dried leaves, and hot water. It is served with a metal straw and in a calabash gourd. Alfajores are made by two biscuits joined together with jam and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Some alfajores are made of two layers of cake and have filling inside. As shown in the picture. Asado is basically made of many meats aand spices. Stay along the coast at some of the world's most beautiful beaches. You could stay at a villa. It is similar to a condo. There are many outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, auto racing, polo, mountaineering, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, golf, diving, nature observation, sailing, skiing, fishing, hunting, and soccer. Those are just some of the fun things you can do outside in Argentina! House of Bishop Colombres is the house that Jose Colombres lived in. Jose Colombres was a sugar cane miller. Outside of the House of Bishop Colombres is still the sugar mill. This Catholic church is most famous for keeping the remains of General Jose de San Martin. Jose de San Martin was the national hero known for his part in freeing the country from Spanish control. Argentina architect Eduardo Fernando Catalano created this flower-shaped sculpture, called the Floralis Generica. The monument is molded in metal and includes a light sensitive element that causes the petals to open and close according to solar activity. In the afternoon when the sun is the highest in the sky, the flower is open. Now that's something I would want to see!
