Applying for financial aid is FREE!
Live like a student now so you
don't have to when you graduate!
HOW TO APPLY:
Check your CCD email and log into CCDConnect to:
First, complete your FAFSA online
Then,
View & complete all requirements listed.
Sent 2-4 weeks later
Student Aid Report (SAR):
follow up with the school!
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
First-come, first-served.
Subsidized - no interest while in 6+ credits. Limits apply! Don't borrow if you don't have to!

Amount depends on Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and
# of credits you take

Some grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority deadline is April 15th for the following fall semester.
Must be enrolled at least 6 credits
to receive loans.

Unsubsidized - 3.86% interest while in school
PAYING YOUR TUITION
Financial aid pays into your balance of tuition/fees 2 weeks after classes start (census date).
Refund:
Your refund has to last all semester (5 months)!

Up to $500 the week before classes start

You can check ALL of your current financial aid awards by checking your Award Overview on CCD Connect.
This section shows your current financial aid awards for the ENTIRE academic year.
Here, you can see the TOTAL amount of loans you have received to fund your education.
On the Accept Award Offer tab, you can accept offered loans. Grants are automatically accepted for you when you qualify.
Current financial aid standing. Stay in your classes and complete them with Cs or better to stay in Good Standing!
Grants (Pell and Colorado Student Grant) = "free money"
Loans must be accepted here for the student to receive these funds.
If awarded work-study, find a job on campus and your funds will be accepted on your behalf.
