Troy Gregor, Nick Arellano , and Bailey Fiedorowicz What is Maya? Reviews Tutorials Maya is a 3d computer graphics software program. Tutorials Computer Animation Terms Stage: A point, period, or step in a process or development.
library:a collection of precompiled routines that a program can use.
Time Line:A graphic representation of the passage of time as a line.
Frame:a rectangular area in which text or graphics can appear.
Keyframe:an animated sequence of frames which was drawn or otherwise constructed directly by the user rather than generated automatically.
Layers: the term used to describe the different levels at which you can place an object or image file.
Playhead:An icon that represents the current location being played within the selected media.
Scrubbing:The process of moving within an audio file or tape to locate a particular section. Originally developed by Alias Systems Corporation First released in February 1998 Features Pose blending Latest version released in April 2013 Available for $3675 Autodesk Maya is an excellent animation software. Although it does require a lot of skill to use the program. There are many features and tools that make it difficult to learn how to use. It has a 5 star rating from various sources. It is expensive but works great. The majority of reviews for Maya are positive. It appears as a well recognized animation software.
