Down Syndrome What is it? The most common occuring Chromosmoal disorder A THIRD addition of Chromosome 21 (RATHER THAN TWO). A mutation that harms a persons mental, facial,
and physical ability. It causes mainly mental disabilites.
However they have the ability to
learn but just at a much slower pace. The effects of Down Syndrome include but are not limited to: Heart Defects Leukemia Infectious Disease Dementia Sleep Apnea Obesity Physical Devlopment Mental Devlopment Issues And other problems Symptoms Dominant or Recessive? Most cases of Down syndrome are not inherited,
therefore it is neither. But in some rare cases it
could be recessive. Treatments During Pregnancy After Pregnancy Make teams to encourage growth for child. Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS),
