Personal Behavior Stressors
The Five Catergories of Stressors include
In my family, I have an anxiety disorder. I got diagnosed with it when I was only 8 years old. My anxiety can come from a lot of things. School, friends, family, and certain situations are just some examples that it can spark.
To deal with my disorder, I tell myself that everything is going to be ok and to take deep breaths.
When I lived in Anchorage, Alaska a volcano named Mount. Redoubt erupted. This caused stress for me because I did not know what was going to happen and how to deal with it. My mom ended up closing the windows and blinds so, the falling ash would not get into the house and make anyone sick. Whenever we went outside we had to wear masks so, we would not breath in the ash.
I dealt with this stressor by making sure that my family was ok and not going outside until most of the ask and smoke went away.
When I was younger, my answers were always black or white. When I get yelled at by my parents, I thought myself as a complete failure. In the end, I always realize no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes.
When I had homework, key club, and a bunch of other things that had to be done at one time it effected my level of stress that I had. On top of all of my work I had to help my mom take care of her foster kids. It was all to much for me to handle.
To deal with this stressor I make a list of thing that I need to do so, I can cross something off something and I know that it is already done.
Personal Behavior Stressors
Whenever, my family and I first moved to Great Falls my mother opened up the idea of becoming a foster family. When ended up with a little boy who is named Andre and a little girl named Angellee. When ever I sit down to do my homework they are both throwing fits and screaming at the top of their lungs. The screaming can cause me stress because I can not focus on my school work.
To deal with his stress, I take my homework to another room or put my music in to block out the noise so, I do not get distracted.
