Robert Sabuda Robert James Sabuda was born on March 8th 1965 in Wyandotte, Michigan. Sabuda is known for his elaborate pop up books. He has recently created the stories of The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. At a very young age Sabuda studied at the Pratt Institute in New York City. He was first interested in pop ups when he received a book illustrated by Vojtech Kubasta. He then started designing pop up books in 1994. 1.Sabuda, Robert (1994). The Mummy's Tomb: A Pop-Up Book.
