What type of shows are suitable for children? solution? parents are the solution They can determine how much time children spend watching TV. They can control what children watch. There are ways to help parents too. TV ratings can help.

This can lead to more teen pregnancies Study done by Thorofare "The study of 240 African-American teenage girls found that those who were pregnant or engaged in unprotected sex reported watching a higher percentage of violent television shows and programs that depicted women as sexual objects. Those girls who had positive pregnancy tests reported that 49.2% of the shows they watched depicted women as sex objects" Violence Aggression Children are more likely to become aggressive as they watch violent acts on television. The children are likely to copy or mimic the violence viewed on television. Children are likely to become desensitized or become numb to the world. Video games Children who play violent video games are also likely to imitate those acts that they see. Columbine High, could have been avoided?
