Most Physicians must complete an undergraduate degree, followed by a 4 years of medical school and a 3-7 year internship and or/residency.
How Does This Job Involve Math?
Pediatricians regularly check the growth and development of patients. They develop growth charts, measure children's height and weight, and assess their overall development over time. They also use math to calculate how much medicine to administer in shots, measured in cubic centimeters or milliliters.
Explaining The Job
A pediatricians job is to diagnose, treat, and help prevent children's diseases and injuries. Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development. Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns.
Salary, And Hours
The average Salary A pediatrician makes is about $184,240 A year. A pediatrician makes about $74 an hour or more.
