What are the symptoms in early disease?
What is Congestive Heart Failure
Congestive Heart Failure, or also known as
CHF is a condition where the heart's function
is not able to meet the body's requirements. For example, if the knees or calves are swollen blood is not circulating through the arteries in the arteries.
-Fatigue
-Limited Exercise Capacity
-Shortness of breath
- Swelling of the arms and legs
Some medications for heart failure improve how well your heart pumps. The other medications help remove excess fluid from your body. There are varieties of medications used to manage CHF to regulate your heart so it won't have to pump as hard.
Medication
a. Restrict more frozen foods, processed and precooked food from the supermarket as well as restaurant fast foods are high sodium and fat.
Exercise
Your health care provider will examine your heart and lungs. The physician will check for enlargement of the heart and fluid in the lungs. Also other things that your health care provider will look at is your neck ,veins , swelling in your legs and tenderness of the liver. Your care provider may order test of blood test, checking your kidney or thyroid function. Echocardiogram to determine systolic heart failure. Electrocardiogram to look for heart rhythm problems.

I. Limit or avoid alcohol
A. If alcohol is permitted make it red wine & have no more than 4oz a day

I. Don't smoke or chew tobacco it increases your risk of Heart Disease or Congestive Heart Failure.
Stress Management
I. Provoke feeling depressed
a. Take in charge of your health and make positive life changes.
b. If negative feelings continue or prevent you from enjoying life, talk to your doctor.
Monitor your health
I. Daily Weighing
a. Use the same scale everyday
b. Record your weight for your doctor
c. Call doctor if you gain more than three pounds in 1 day or five pounds in a week

Ace Inhibitors

Types of medication
Diuretics aka water pills removes body fluids that may collect in your lungs and ankles.
Digoxin is a medication that can help the heart muscle pump blood more effectively. It also regulates a heart beat fast or irregular.
Beta Blockers are medications that lower heart rate and blood pressure and protects your hear from things that can cause harm.
And a rapid or irregular heartbeat.
