Suspense, Foreshadowing and Mood
Suspense
The uncertainty or anxiety we feel about what is going to happen next in a story.
Extends a "hook" or "lure."
Keeps us wanting to know more!
Foreshadowing
When the author mentions or hints at events that will come later in the story.
Mood
Mood is the feeling the reader gets from the story.

Examples: Angry, Excited, Joyous, Sorrowful.

Identify Foreshadowing
How is foreshadowing used in this clip?
Now, apply the concept of mood to "The Cask of Amontillado."
