Founding Fathers Limited Government Phase 2 Conclusion Constitution The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government." -Patrick Henry Lead Members "History, in general, only informs us what bad government is." -Thomas Jefferson Honor Many believe that it is too late, our government has too much control and that "we the people" are hopeless. This might be true but the best you can do for yourself at this time being is to question your authority and to become more aware of our government's actions... because whether you feel like it is or not... their actions are affecting you on a daily basis and it's your absolute right to know their business. We are the true backbone of this country. FREEDOM "Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.
-Thomas Jefferson

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force. And force, like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."
-George Washington Is it unconstitutional? Amendment in the Constitution Amendment in the Constitution Amendment VI: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense. Logic behind 9/11 being planned The 9/11 crisis put Americans in shock. Why would our own government plan it? Well it was only natural for us to lean towards them in times of doubt. With a higher dependency on our Government, it was only reasonable that they would take advantage of our trust in them. Knowing that the majority of citizens would be in favor of the Patriot Act, the Government gained power by taking away our rights. Increasing Gun Control in America: Good or Bad? Another example of us giving up our power and freedom to lean on our government for "safety"... Lesson from the wise: Benjamin Franklin AGAINST GUN CONTROL "Americans have the right and advantage of being armed, unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust their people with arms." -James Madison Genocide & Gun Control Go Hand In Hand Perpetrator Government Date Target Est. #Murdered Date of Gun Control Law Source Document MARTIAL LAW Martial law is an extreme and rare measure used to control society during war or periods of civil unrest or chaos. According to the Supreme Court, the term martial law carries no precise meaning (Duncan v. Kahanamoku, 327 U.S. 304, 66 S. Ct. 606, 90 L. Ed. 688 1946). However, most declarations of martial law have some common features. Generally, the institution of martial law contemplates some use of military force. To a varying extent, depending on the martial law order, government military personnel have the authority to make and enforce civil and criminal laws. Certain civil liberties may be suspended, such as the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures, freedom of association, and freedom of movement. And the writ of Habeas Corpus may be suspended (this writ allows persons who are unlawfully imprisoned to gain freedom through a court proceeding).

In the United States, martial law has been instituted on the national level only once, during the Civil War, and on a regional level only once, during World War II. Otherwise, it has been limited to the states. Uprisings, political protests, labor strikes, and riots have, at various times, caused several state governors to declare some measure of martial law. Effects of Martial Law in America FEMA Concentration Camps There are over 800 internment camps created or being renovated over the nation. Many of these internment camps were used for the imprisonment of the Japanese during WWII. They still exist! Why do you not know about this? Our media is controlled by the government. Government controls our education system. -Lack of critical thinking
-Kids are taught not to question authority
-Lack of political awareness Collapse of the Middle Class Poverty is a weapon of mass destruction. Your leader: Barack Obama This video is a pure example of how hypocritical Barack Hussein Obama has been during his term in office. If you still don't believe me... watch this. WE THE PEOPLE By Chris Behag THESIS I believe that our government's increasingly selfish and unconstitutional acts will furthermore lead our country into political and financial chaos. Our overpowering government ignores many of the values set forth by our founding fathers, and as a result our money, power, and freedom will continue being taken away each and every day. FOCUS -Learn in-depth about what our founding fathers had envisioned for America
-Become aware of our government's actions from past to present
-Understand the importance of our role as citizens The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon. -George Washington The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending against all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. -Samuel Adams Amendment 1 Freedoms, Petitions, Assembly
Amendment 2 Right to bear arms
Amendment 3 Quartering of soldiers
Amendment 4 Search and arrest
Amendment 5 Rights in criminal cases
Amendment 6 Right to a fair trial
Amendment 7 Rights in civil cases
Amendment 8 Bail, fines, punishment
Amendment 9 Rights retained by the People
Amendment 10 States' rights Bill of Rights 9/11 Conspiracy 10,000 Injured
3,000 Killed Patriot Act Passed On October 26, 2001 (George W. Bush) Amendment I: Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech ... Freedom of speech: The government may prosecute librarians or keepers of any other records if they tell anyone the government subpoenaed information related to a terror investigation. Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Freedom of association: To assist terror investigation, the government may monitor religious and political institutions without suspecting criminal activity Amendment IV: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Freedom from unreasonable searches: The government may search and seize Americans' papers and effects without probable cause to assist terror investigation. How The Patriot Act Violates The Constitution Amendment VI: ... to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense. Amendment VI: ... to be confronted with the witnesses against him ... Right to a speedy and public trial: The government may jail Americans indefinitely without a trial. Right to legal representation: The government may monitor conversations between attorneys and clients in federal prisons and deny lawyers to Americans accused of crimes. Right to liberty: Americans may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them. US citizens (labeled "unlawful combatants") have been held incommunicado and refused attorneys. How the Patriot Act violates the Constitution What has our government done since our last decade to "keep us safe"? Obama's proposal on Gun control in response to Sandy Hook Elementary:

-Require background checks for all gun sales, including those by private individuals
-Pass a new, stronger ban on "assault weapons"
-Limit magazines to 10 rounds
-Ban the possession of armor-piercing bullets
-Provide financing for improved mental health coverage, particularly for young people
-Provide funding for schools to develop emergency response plans Losing your arms (guns) means losing your freedom. "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms..."
-Richard Henry Lee "The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms . . ."
-Samuel Adams "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -Thomas Jefferson Ottoman Turkey 1915-1917 Armenians 1-1.5 million 1886-1911 Art. 166, Penal Code

The PNAC's stated goal is "to promote American global leadership." Fundamental to the PNAC were the view that "American leadership is both good for America and good for the world" and support for "a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity." The PNAC exerted influence on high-level U.S. government officials in the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush and affected the Bush Administration's development of military and foreign policies, especially involving national security and the Iraq War.
