(Primary) I watched Boyhood, formed my own opinion on it and wrote up about it.

Came up with a research plan
(There was more)
Formed Lead Question
"Why are there so many platforms for storytelling and what do these platforms offer that make them unique?"
Lead question changed after meeting with tutor
"What are the advantages and disadvantages of different mediums of storytelling and how do they suit the stories told?
Changed research plan after speaking with teacher to focus more on secondary research. More focus on professional opinions.
Scrapped some prior primary research after deeming it redundant.
Got in contact with Garth Twa, screenwriter and tutor at university so I could ask him some questions related to film
(Secondary) Found various website articles comparing books to films, finding more that favored books than films
As I research I copy all the links so I have them for reference later on.
(Secondary) Found more website articles to find out why books seemed more popular.
(Secondary) Found articles and research on book to movie adaptations and found articles comparing The Hunger Games film to the book in order to see why movie to book adaptations are often badly received
(Primary) Created a survey to try and find out what medium was most popular and why. Indicated films were most popular.
(Primary) Interviewed Garth, trying to find out differences in writing for different mediums and advantages of each, also he gave me the details of a novelist to speak to.
Transcribed Interview with Garth
(Secondary) Found website articles on what advantages and disadvantages video games have for storytelling, much debate, some saying that story and gameplay hurt each other, some believing it's more immersive
Analyzed the research I gathered from my survey and drew conclusions from it.
(Secondary) Found website articles on virtual reality headsets, to see if people’s views of them were positive or negative. Many rave reviews, especially for the 'Oculus Rift'
(Secondary) Read Marie-Laure Ryan’s book 'Narrative As Virtual Reality' to gain more understanding on virtual reality for storytelling, picked out a few quotes for use.
Compiled research and quotes into an organized manner so I could create a cohesive debate with it
(Primary) Interviewed Mary Tomlinson, novelist, to find out what she thinks makes different mediums differ and what each has to offer for storytelling.
Transcribed interview with Mary
