The Nilgiri Library
It is located in Ooty.(11 degree north and 78 degree east)
It is made of lime mortar and bricks with arched windows.
It is a gem of Gothic architechture.
The Nilgiri library is one of the oldest and finest public libraries in the country.
It has more than 70,000 books.
The Nilgiri Library houses one of the oldest books of the world.
The library's motto is "Abeunt Studia In Mores".
It takes measures to bring back the lost interest of reading.
The Mountain railway
It is another heritage located in Ooty.(11 degree north and 78 degree east)
The Nilgiri Mountain Railway is a railway in Tamil Nadu, India, built by the British in 1899.
It shows one, the nature of the Nilgiris.
It was built for transport but serves as a means of sight-seeing for the tourists.
It covers 45.88km.
Some of it's old engines still survive.
St.Stephen's church
It is located in Ooty.(11degree north and 78 degree east)
The St.stephen's church is a very ancient church of Ootacamund which was built by the British in 1831.
The total cost of construction was RS.24,000at that time.
It has beautiful stained glass windows.
The huge door at the entrance was first ordered by Tipu Sultan and is taken from the Mysore palace.
The key of the entrance door is very big(about ten times bigger than a normal key).
A visit to the wonderful house of worship was a great experience.

The challenges faced by these antiques
In today's world,these antiques are facing distruction due to the natural phenomenon and human activities.
The Nilgiri Library is having lack of funds due to the loss in interest of reading.
The St.Stephens Church is getting worn out due to the human activities.
The Nilgiri railways are being littered by tourists.
