A mountain giant Mt Elbrus Location Eruption facts Other interesting facts Here's a short video Mt Elbrus is located right on the Europe- Asia border. This mountain is very tall, about 19,000 feet tall, making it the third tallest in the Northern Hemisphere! It last erupted about 2000 years ago, and has been dormant ever since. However, scientists all over think it could erupt anytime soon. It was found more then 2.5 million years ago. Mt Elbrus contains over 70 glaciers, and has both a western and eastern summit, the western is taller. Right in the center it has twin cones. It has snow on the peak the entire year. It's peaks/glaciers contain over 56 square miles.
