Transcript of Sound waves

Finally Sound is a mechanical transfer of energy, capable of some pretty interesting stuff. We use sound for communication, for music, for enjoyment. But, did you know that sound is used for underwater navigation, for exploring the human body, and even for medical procedures that break down things like kidney stones to avoid surgery? Sound Waves Sound is a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through a solid, liquid, gas, or plasma, composed of frequencies within the range of hearing. Sound, the simple definition Sound is caused by something physically moving and creating a vibration in a medium. Doesn't matter if it is an explosion, someone talking, the strings on a guitar, or the speakers in your car.
