She was the First woman to give birth on T.V. Her most watched episode of the " I Love Lucy " show was when her 2nd child Little Ricky was born on January 19, 1953 44 million people watched. In 1950 they established the Desilu Production company.
She won an Emmy for the"I Love Lucy Show".
She also got the Kennedy Center Award which is the most prestigious award given to U.S. entertainers. In 1984 she was the first woman elected in the Television hall of fame.
Her perfect Comic timing has no equal. She is a Role Model for all female comedians. Despite Poverty, Insecurity, and early abandonment by her parents Lucille Ball succeeded as a model an actress on screen and on stage and became the first lady of comedy. Thesis Statement: Through hard work and persistence Lucille Ball achieved her goal of being a Successful Comedian,Actress and Business woman. When her father died. Being seperated from her mother. Getting kicked out of drama school. Having a husband that's an alcoholic. Rheumatoid Arthritis Her son dealt with alcohol and drug addiction his whole life. She was accused of being a communist but was cleared and could have ruined her whole career. She had three miscarriages before her first child was born. In 1986 The show Life With Lucy was canceled after eight episodes. She had a stroke in 1988 and was partially paralyzed in her right side. On April 26,1989 Lucille Desiree Ball died from her heart surgery.
