Transcript of The Illuminati

The Foundation
The Illuminati was formed on May 1, 1776 by Adam Weishaupt. His goal with this group was to promote the doctrines of equality and freedom throughout society. Others say the aim was to combat religion and foster rationalism in its place.
The Name
The name "Illuminati" literally means "enlightened". The society was supposed to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power. After being outlawed by Edict, the Illuminati referred to and still refers to a secret society.
Purpose
"The order of the day," they wrote in their general statutes, "is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them." They are often alleged to conspire to control world affairs, by masterminding events and planting agents in government
and corporations, in order to
gain political power and
influence and to establish
a New World Order.
Symbols
The Eye of Providence is the main symbol for the Illuminati. It is "the all seeing eye of God". Some interpret it as God
Illuminati vs Catholicism
The Illuminati is not a religion nor does it have any religious beliefs therefore it cannot be easily compared to a religion. The Illuminati's main purpose is to spread equality. It has no rituals or gods, no places of worship or sacred texts. The only thing similar to Catholicism is the triangle that the Eye of Providence is in represents the Trinity.
About the founder
Adam Weishaupt studied law at the University of Ingolstadt and graduated at age 20 with a doctorate of law. Four years later, he became a professor of law at the same University. As well as being the founder of the
Illuminati, he was also an
author, having written 15
books in addition to 12
relating to the Illuminati.
The Illuminati
Adam Weishaupt
watching over all of humankind. It is also a symbol for the Christian Trinity because of the 3 point triangle surrounding it. It can also be found on various currencies, coats and seals. The eye is also associated with freemasonry which is another organization relating to craftsmen work.
Illuminati Today
Now, the Illuminati is no longer about equality, some say that world events are being controlled and manipulated by a secret society calling itself the Illuminati. Many celebrities now are members of the "illuminati" but it does not mean the same thing as it used to. As the illuminati is a secret society, it is unknown how many members there are worldwide.
I feel that today, nobody actually knows what the illuminati is and they say that they're in it because big celebrities are and they think it is a cool thing to do. The true meaning and purpose of the illuminai is lost.
