Southeast Asia Culture Culture School Food Religion Government Fashion Entertainment Singapore Singapore SINGAPORE Culture Singapore is a cosmopolitan society where people live harmoniously and interaction among different races are commonly seen. School The education system in Singapore evolves around the premise that every student has unique aptitudes and interests. Food The food is influenced by the native Malay, the predominant Chinese, Indonesian, Indian and even Western traditions. Religion some of the religions in Singapore are Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. Government The Government of Singapore is defined by the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, Executive branch of government, which is made up of the President and the Cabinet of Singapore. Fashion Some fashion industries that are located in Singapore are Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Valentino, Prada, Donna Karan, Marks & Spencer and many more. Entertainment The National Art Council organizes concerts performed by local artists at parks and gardens. Philippines culture The culture of the Philippines reflects the complexity of the history of the Philippines through the blending of several diverse. Government The government of the Philippins is Republic. Food Filipinos traditionally eat three main meals a day - agahan or almusal (breakfast), tanghalían (lunch), and hapunan (dinner) plus an afternoon snack called meriénda. School Filipino children may enter public school at about age four, starting from Nursery up to Kindergarten. Religion Religion holds a central place in the life of the majority of Filipinos, including Catholics, Jewish, Muslims, Buddhists, Protestants and animists. Entertainment The Cultural Center of the Philippines is considered to be the premiere place for performing arts. Fashion A traditional garment for men is the barong tagalog and Women wear the heavily starched, sleeved terno. Laos culture . Laos is a landlocked Southeast Asian country surrounded by Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar (Burma), and China. religion Buddhism was the state religion of the Kingdom of Laos. food The most famous Lao dish is laap, a spicy mixture of marinated meat and/or fish that is sometimes raw with a variable combination of herbs, greens, and spices. School Schools in Laos are very poor and the school building are usually made out of straw and sticks. government Laos is a communist single-party socialist republic. Fashion Laos clothing was a symbol of the individuality of the sub-group of Hmong living in Laos. Entertaiment There are several discos in Vientiane that tend to have live Lao bands. Most large hotels have their own nightclubs.
Malaysia Culture Malaya culture is a mixture of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and various indigenous tribes dating back to more than fifteen hundred years ago religion the major religions are the Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and Christians. Food Rice tends to be a staple food in Malaysia as in most countries in the region. Government The politics of Malaysia takes place in the framework of a federal constitutional monarchy. Fashion Baju Melayu, The dress consists of a loose shirt, which is complemented with a pair of long trousers. Entertainment
