Transcript of 7La McCormack Kelly Icarus & Daedalus Plot Diagram
Plot diagram by: Kelly McCormack "Icarus & Daedalus" Plot Diagram EXPOSITION WHO: Daedalus & King Minos of Crete
WHERE: the island of Crete (near Greece)
WHEN: when gods and mortals lived together
WHAT: Daedalus, an architect was imprisoned by King Minos and escaped but now he wants to escape off the island. Rising Action Daedalus thought of a plan; he would make wings so him & his son, Icarus, could fly away. He taught himself and his son to fly. He said don't fly to close to the sun or the wings
will melt... The day came when it was time for them to take off & they took off with Daedalus going ahead of Icarus. Icarus was dazed by the feeling of flight, so he opened his wings and soared upward. He made the wings from wax and feathers. Daedalus also warned his son. Soon Icarus's wings started to melt & he started falling right down to the vast sea. Climax Daedalus noticed his son was nowhere to be found so he went back in search. Below him he saw the feathers of his sons wings floating in the water.
He knew Icarus had drowned. Falling Action An island near by was named Icaria, in memory of Icarus. Resolution Daedalus went to the temple of Apollo in Sicily & hung up his wings.
