Magnetism in the 21st century Medicine astronomy electronics navigation toys Biblipgraphy The Maglev The maglev train floats on a magnetic feild. Maglev is short for magnetically levitating. The maglev moves through changing magnetic feild. The magnets on the guidway are electrically changed from north to south and south to north. This moves the train by attracting and repeling the magnets attactched to the train. "Maglev Trains." Welcome to Oliver Keating's Work on the Internet. When electricity is moving through the wire, an alternating magnetic feild is produced. This feild moves the wire and diaphragm attatched to it. Producing the sound of the song you are listening to. We have found that there are many strong spots of magnetic feilds on Mars' crust. We believe that the whole crust is magnetized. Magnets are being used to detect cancers and other harmful diseases. The disease causing protein triggers a magnetic change. From that the doctors are starting to tell them apart. The hope is to make a handheld machine that will do all of this in under an hour.
