1920's & 1930's Comparison

Many American's feared the country would be taken over by immigrants. Around 25% of America's population was immigrants. The amount of immigrants nearly mulitplied by six from1 1919 to 1921. In 1919 there were around 140,000 immigrants, and in 1921 there were around 805,000 immigrants. However, in 1920 there was a law passed limiting the number of immigrants allowed from each country.
