Transcript of Doreen Cronin

Author Study Doreen Cronin Doreen Cronin Resources & References I chose to do my author study on Doreen Cronin from my interest in her books Diary of a Spider and Diary of a Worm. Cronin's unique use of humor and creativity in her children's books make for a great read, even for adults. I was also just interested in learning more about the author and her additional works. Doreen Cronin was born in Queens, NY and grew up in Long Island, NY. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University and continued to St. John's University of Law in pursuit of a law degree. Her first book, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type, was actually published while she was a practicing attorney in Manhattan, NY. Cronin actually had finished writing the book 5 years before it ever was published, receiving many rejection letters from publishing companies before she finally got a call from someone who wanted to turn her barnyard tale into a real book! Cronin then chose to become a full-time children's book author, teaming up with Betsy Lewin to later publish many more accomplished children's books. She now lives in New York with her husband and dog, Ruffles. Biography Bibliography Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type Accomplishments Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type (2000)
