The digestive enzymes require a 4.5 pH
If it ruptures, will increase cells acidity
Would cause ther organelles inside to break (DNA too)
Easily can kill the cell by digesting and destrying it

Ribosome biogenesis is a complex and energy intensive process that involves several hundred factors. If ribosomes were to malfunction, then enzymes would not be available to speed up reactions throughout the body.

Thus ribosomes can’t make proteins such as microtubules, which would cause many other problems within the cell.

Various links have been found between the ER stress response and cell degeneration. This occurs when there are misfolded or subpar proteins in the ER that targets the ER for degradation by the proteasome.
