You can also get the news CONS OF TWITTER Privacy issues are another drawback because anyone can look at your profile unless you make a private account You may get addicted to tweeting it is time consuming and may take away from things that should be more of a priority The hackers. They could do anything on your account, like access personal information, access your contacts or use inappropriate language on your account Identity theft is also something that could happen as well. HOW TO STAY SAFE ON TWITTER!! How can you really stay safe on twitter?
Well you really can't. But you can try by doing these things! -Don't use your real name
-DON'T share ANY personal information such as age, birthday, school, address.
-Consider putting your account on private.
-Block anyone you don't know and anyone who you think is unsafe
-Don't trust ANYBODY you don't know!
- Be vigilant watching for any suspicious activity WHO WAS THAT MAN? WHAT DID HE DEVELOP?

Twitter set a record for ''tweets per second'' with 33,388 tweets!! A application developer named Atebits made twitter the official client for the iPhone, iPod and mac book on April 11, 2010. From September through October the company began to make "new twitter" that includes the ability to look at pictures and videos with out leaving the twitter page. On March 21, 2012 Twitter celebrated it's 6th birthday. On June 4th, 2012 twitter purchased Washington, D.C based web design agency Nclud. On October 5, 2012 twitter acquired a video clip company called vine that has yet to launch As you can see since Twitters' inception as a communication tool for a small group of friends it has experienced an incredible amount of growth and become one of the most popular social networks in the world!!! A lot of famous people use twitter to increase their popularity, and to keep fans up to date on what's going on in their life. In February 2010 twitter users were sending 50 MILLION tweets PER DAY! As of June 2010 approximately 65 million tweets were posted each day, equaling an average of approximately 750 tweets each second.
As of March 2011 there was about 140 million tweets posted daily. A record was set during the 2010 FIFA world cup, fans wrote 2,940 tweets per second, the record was broken on June 17th, 2010 at the NBA finals with 3,085 tweets per second. This record was broken again at the close of Japans victory over Denmark at the world cup. Users published 3,283 tweets per second. The record was broken yet again during the 2011 FIFA woman's world cup finials between Japan and the U.S.A 7,196 tweets were being sent per second When singer Michael Jackson passed away there was 100,000 tweets being sent per hour. That a lot of records that twitter set and broke! 3.6% of tweets are news and an unbelievable 40.1% are POINTLESS BABBLE!!! HIS NAME IS JACK DORSEY AND HE INVENTED THE WORLD FAMOUS TWITTER!!
