The female version of of steriliztion is called tubal ligation or another choice is hysteroscopic sterilization. Tubal ligation is when you cut the follapian tubes then tie and burn the ends. Hysteroscopic sterilization is when spring like coils are inserted into th follapian tubes and scar tissue grows around them blocking them.
The FDA approved sterilization form of birth control in 2002.
Failure Rate and Effectiveness
Women:pain/ cramping, pelvic or back discomfort, and vaginal bleeding.
Men: pain, bleeding, and infection.

called a vasectomy. This is where the tubes
which carry out the sperm are cut or tied, and
the ends are burned.

Very convenient, only one surgery with no over night stay. May need to get one check up.
This is a surgical procedure so no there is no prescription needed.
*Very little chance of pregnancy.
Cannot be reversed
Have to take time off to get procedure and recover.
There is a very minimal risk that the procedure will not work and you could get pregnant.
