Truly, Madly, Deeply
By: Savage Garden The Voice :) My voice in the song I chose is one of the two people in a relationship or "dating". This person's POV is the first person's because he/she is using "I" when they talk. The first Verse :) I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do..
I will be strong I will be faithful
'Cos I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living.
A deeper meaning. About the First Verse: In the first verse of this song, I think the "other half" in the relationship is assuring the other that he/she will be everything the one being serenaded with this song. He/she is telling the other that they are the only one they live for, which I think is very sweet. The Chorus: I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me... About the Chorus: In the chorus I think he/she is saying that there
would be no other place he/she would rather be than
beside the other. The chorus is one of my favorite parts of the song because it is just romantic thinking about it. I love it! The Second Verse: And when the stars are shining brightly
In the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish
Send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry..
The tears of joy
For all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded
By the comfort and protection of..
The highest power.
In lonely hours.
The tears devour you. About the Second Verse: The second verse is
about, I think, the couple sitting together in the night watching the stars. Then he/she sends a "wish" to heaven and makes the other cry. By this, I think the guy in the relationship proposes to the girl and she is overwhelmed with joy, but the only way she can show it is by crying. The Bridge Oh can't you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cos it's standing right before you.
All that you need will surely come... About the Bridge: I think, in the bridge, one of the two are asking the other if they can see a potential future together as husband and wife. The "Lyrical" Language The three types of "lyrical" language I saw were: repititions, rhymes, and personification.

The repititions I saw were: I'll, I'm, I, 'Cos, and The.

The rhymes I saw were: do, new(First verse), sea, me (Chorus), sky, cry (Second verse), and power, hour (Second verse).

The two examples of personification that I saw were: "The tears devour you" (Verse 2) and " I'll make a wish and send it to heaven" (Verse 2).
