Transcript of CIRCULATORY
Also called the cardiovascular system
has 3 parts heart, blood and blood vessels.
delivers need materials to cells which are (oxygen and glucose).
remove waste (carbon dioxide)
Pump blood throughout the body
Beats from 60 to 100 times per minute.
When exercising heart pumps faster to get more oxygen to our bodies.
Sent messages to the body
Carry needed materials and waste.
carry glucose and oxygen to our body.
carry co2 to lungs to be exhaled.
very thick, muscular, carries blood from heart, protects blood from going out of heart and body.
thinner, receive blood from capillaries, transport waste rich blood back to lungs.
connect to artery and vein, very thin and fragile, blood cells can only pass one by one in a single file, oxygen and co2 takes place through thin capillary wall.
occurs due to lack of blood supply.
What happens during a heart attack?
heart muscle becomes starved for oxygen, if you have arteries disease, it becomes narrow and blood will not be able to pass ,blood clot totally blocks arteries.
with a short time death of heart muscle cells occurs causing a permanent damage.
Discomfort,pressure, heaviness,or pain in chest.
Treatment for chest pain.
aspirin to thin your blood and prevent further blood clotting.
HOW TO PREVENT A HEART ATTACK?
Eat a healthy diet-
a lot of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Take a regular physical activity-
at least 30 minutes.
how does circulatory works with other systems?
works with the respiratory system by supplying oxygen to every cell in your body and removing C02.
Urinary system- by cleaning circulatory system and removing things your body doesn't need.
Digestive System-to get nutrients
