By empathetically considering the makers of our clothes, we can start to identify with them. We can start to think of them as people, rather than just the hands that stitch pieces of clothing for us.

In summary, it is common for companies to present vague and general statements regarding their commitment to providing garment workers with a fair wage and safe working conditions, but rarely offer detailed explanations of how they intend to challenge these problems.
