Barbados By Morgan Woods Barbados Flag The blue color on the flag represents the sea and sky of Barbados. The gold represents the sand of the island's beaches. The symbol in the middle of the barbados flag represents the trident of the mythical sea god,neptune. The beam of the trident is broken which represents Barbados' break from great Britan. The capital of Barbados is Bridgetown. Barbados is 166 square miles long. The major cites of Barbados are Oistins, Holetown and Speightstown. Languges of Barbados Map of Barbados The offical languge of Barbados is english. Bajan is also spoken in Barados it is a mixture of english and west african. The English language was brought over to barbados by slaves. Population The island's population is 288,000 people. [2010] The Goverment wants to restrict population growth because Barbados is one of the most denslely populated countries in the world. FUN FACTS Camels were one of the first animals brought over and they were used to bring beer and wine to plantations. Barbados was named after the bearded fig The national flower of Barbados is the flower fence. Barbados motto is pride and industry which is on the Coat of Arms of Barbados. 1 tablespoon double-acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups sweetened coconut
2 cups milk
